Siraj, du Plessis work their trick in RCB win
Faf du Plessis has disclosed that he would not have participated in the game if the Impact Player regulation had not been implemented. Despite suffering from a bruised rib, du Plessis scored an impressive 84 runs off 56 balls on a sluggish Mohali pitch, enabling the Royal Challengers Bangalore to reach a total of 174 for 4. After his remarkable performance, he rested in the dugout and watched as Mohammed Siraj took charge during the powerplay and the final stages of the match, successfully defending the target.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore team faced a slowdown in the latter part of the innings, with only 37 runs scored in the last four overs, despite having reached 137 for 0 in 16 overs. Nonetheless, they dominated the powerplay, both with the bat and the ball, to thwart the Punjab Kings and gain a much-needed victory after a narrow defeat against the Chennai Super Kings in their previous match.
